What is the VIRUS ?

VIRUS is a living and non-living thing that has the characteristics of both living and non-living organisms. They are not considered as organism. They are parasities and cause diseases in living organisms. They cannot reproduce outside living body because they dont have a metabolic machinery of their own. They replicate inside living cells using their metabolic machinery. They are composed of proteins and genome. They can also be crystallized.

VIRUS ( વિષાણુ ) એ જીવંત અને નિર્જીવ વસ્તુ છે જેમાં જીવંત અને નિર્જીવ બંને જીવની લાક્ષણિકતાઓ છે. તેઓ સજીવ તરીકે માનવામાં આવતાં નથી. તેઓ પરોપજીવી છે અને જીવંત જીવોમાં રોગોનું કારણ બને છે. તેઓ જીવંત શરીરની બહારનું ઉત્પાદન કરી શકતા નથી કારણ કે તેમની પાસે તેમની પોતાની ચયાપચયની મશીનરી નથી. તેઓ તેમના મેટાબોલિક મશીનરીનો ઉપયોગ કરીને જીવંત કોષોની અંદર નકલ કરે છે. તેઓ પ્રોટીન અને જીનોમથી બનેલા છે. તેઓ પણ સ્ફટિકીકૃત કરી શકાય છે.

The name Virus means     

The name Virus means venom or poisonous fluid given by Louis Pasteur.
A virus is a small infectious agent that replicates only inside the living cells of other organisms. Viruses can infect all types of life forms, from animals and plants to microorganisms, including bacteria and archaea.

      વાયરસ નામનો અર્થ લૂઇસ પાશ્ચર દ્વારા આપવામાં આવેલ છે. જેનો અર્થ  ઝેર અથવા ઝેરી પ્રવાહી છે.વાયરસ એ એક નાનો ચેપી એજન્ટ છે જે ફક્ત અન્ય સજીવોના જીવંત કોષોની અંદર જ નકલ કરે છે. વાયરસ પ્રાણીઓ અને છોડથી લઈને બેક્ટેરિયા અને આર્ચિયા સહિતના સુક્ષ્મસજીવો સુધીના તમામ પ્રકારનાં જીવન સ્વરૂપોને સંક્રમિત કરી શકે છે.

Virus એ સજીવ અને નિર્જીવ ને જોડતી કડી છે. તેના અભ્યાસ પરથી સજીવની ઉત્પત્તિ અને વિશ્વ ની ઉત્પતિ અંગેની સમજ કેળવવામાં ઉપયોગ થઈ શકે છે.
